In the design and construction of plants, machinery and equipment, the safety of the maintenance workers is a priority. Industrial environments present multiple hazards: moving machines, electricity, pneumatic energy, hydraulic energy, hot surfaces, and noise. Employees must be protected, trained, and informed, but even with the introduction of barriers or safety devices, residual risks remain, this is why safety labels play a fundamental role.
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) imposes requirements for reporting residual risks through the ANSI Z535 standard “Product Safety Signs and Labels”.
Tekima’s safety labels are produced in accordance with ANSI Z535 standards and are c(UL)us Recognized certified according to UL 969 and CSA C22.2 No.0.15 standards. In addition to the wide range of safety labels required by the NFPA 70 (NEC), UL 2011, NFPA 79, and C22.1 (CE Code) standards, Tekima adds those for the electric panel specifically produced according to the American and Canadian standards UL 508a and C22.2 No. 286.
